Spiritually speaking, do we need a new word for ''atheists'' ?

wen i am on some place where there are a lot of ''atheists'' they will often post what i call ''atheist stuff'', its basically just a image that has the moral ''RELIGION KILLS BABYS AND THEN EATS THEM'' or something like that, and what happened was that i was on a thread and it had one of those typical atheist image, it doesn't matter what it was, lets just say it was a priest who went on a rampage on a elementary school armed with machine guns and grenades because he taught the bible told him so, and one of the comment was ''this is why i am atheist'' but that doesn't make sense, how does a priest going on a rampage on children answer in anyway if there is a god or not? so i asked him to explain him self and he said ''oh no i mean this is why i hate religion'' so you see atheism is being wrongfully used as a word for a person who hates religion, this brings bad image on atheism, and i don't think the second most common word for it (militant atheism) is going to make things better, we need to find a way to make people stop using atheism in that terms
