Can i sue my college?

hello, i was wrongfully kicked out of college because they said i missed to many days. now let me explain, i had gotten the swine flu and continued to go to school and my program director told me to leave and come back when i was better and not sick, i asked if i would be able to return and we talked to the dean and he said that everything would be frozen until i got better and could pick up where i left off, but once i got better and went back they told me i took to long and got dropped from school. and i was only gone for two weeks. so can i sue?
