What would happen to my social security money?

I am 16 years old, 5 months ago custody over me changed but my father (the person who no longer has custody over me) continued to recieve my social security money this whole time. What would happen if I were to fax or mail a copy of the custody paperwork to the social security office? would they start mailing me the check? would they give me the money that he has been wrongfully claiming? If anyone reading this can give me some helpful feedback, please do. thank you.
