What to say to a girl whose father just died?

A good friend of mines dad just passed away the other night. He was battling colon cancer, but they say that he had just received his last chemo & radiation. He went to bed that night, feeling great and healthy, and he died in his sleep. It breaks my heart. I don't know what I'd do if my dad died, I would be torn & way to sad to ever explain. Today is the visitation...although I did not know her father, I know her very well. I know everyone usually says "I'm so sorry for your loss" or "We're Praying for you" or "If you need anything, let us know"...but I want something original to say. What would be a really nice & encouraging thing for me to say to her. (She is only 13).
