Was I wrongfully terminated from my job?

Today I received a phone call from my employer, that I was terminated from my job. I didn't answer the phone, so I have the voice mail stating my purpose for termination. I've only been working there for about 3 weeks, and they told me out right, that I had done nothing wrong. No policies were broken, that they were firing me (and 3-4 other people) because of the person who had hired us. (They also terminated them) I'm not placing any blame, but I could have been using these three weeks to look for a job that actually wanted my labor. What should I do? I feel as though I have been discriminated against, just because of the person who hired me. Should I file a law suit? Am I eligible for unemployment? Were there any laws broken? My husband and I are living on a VERY fixed budget, and this job was supposed to help me, not dig me in deeper.
