Employee stock option recovered?

I was wrongfully laid off and my stock option was revoked. After 6 years of legal process I won and company reinstalled my stock options, but two sets of them I have no chance to exercise (expired during the legal process). Any legal ground for me to ask the Company to compensate it or re-issue with new grant-date?
